But as much as it was loved, we also heard something else: thoughtful, honest feedback about what could make it even better.

What’s Changed – And Why
- Collar with a Modern Touch The sweet Peter Pan collar of the Classic Dress has been gently reshaped into a slightly more modern Classic Shirt Collar - giving the dress a touch of structure while still holding onto that nostalgic charm.
- Full Buttons, Safe Bust We kept the full front button detailing you love, but adjusted the functionality: the top three buttons open for dressing with ease, while the rest are sewn closed to avoid any unexpected unbuttoning.
- A Skirt for Modesty and Movement The Frida’s skirt has a slightly smaller circle than the Classic - making it a little more modest, but still big enough for that unmistakable Son de Flor twirl.
The Details That Stay
You’ll still find our side zip, side seam pockets, and the white iconic hem on the skirt - because some details are simply too dear to change. And, of course, it’s crafted from 100% linen, made to last a lifetime.
Why “Frida”?
We see the Frida Dress as the younger sister of our Classic Dress - cut from the same cloth, yet with her own bold spirit. We named her Frida not just after a style icon, but after the courage, creativity, and unapologetic authenticity Frida Kahlo embodied. This dress is dear to us because it carries that same energy: still gentle, still timeless, but unafraid to be a little different.
