Eight years ago, Son de Flor was born from a simple idea: a dress that would never go out of style, made from linen, timeless and kind. What we could not have imagined back then is how much beauty, friendship, and love would grow around this little seed of a dream.

This September, on the 18th to be more extract, we’ve celebrated our 8th birthday – though in truth, the journey has been with us for more than a decade. And what a celebration it was. More than a hundred guests gathered under one roof: mothers, fathers, sisters, children, friends from every chapter of life. To us, it felt like one big meadow of humanity in bloom – full of color, strength, and fragrance.

A Night of Music, Laughter, and Creation

The evening unfolded like a storybook. Andrius Murencevas filled the air with live music, weaving notes as soft as linen itself. Our beloved friend Olesia hosted a workshop where linen scarves were personalized with care and joy – small pieces of art, now carrying the warmth of the evening. An illustrator sketched portraits of our guests, catching smiles and glances on paper, while Joana captured everything with her camera so we could return to these memories again and again.

We opened a small corner of our world where everyone could see, touch, and try on linen pieces – the same ones that travel across the world to reach so many of you. To watch our guests twirl in them, to hear laughter, to see eyes lighting up – it reminded us why we began and why we continue.

The Journey So Far

When we look back, it feels almost unreal. What started with one black classic dress has now become more than 100 styles, worn across continents, in sizes from XXS to 5XL. From our garage beginnings in Vilijampolė to sending more than 70,000 parcels into the world – each wrapped with care, each carrying not just a garment but a piece of our story.

And behind every package, every dress, there is a team. Today, Son de Flor is 19 women and 1 man, all different, all essential. We are often told family businesses are hard – and yet, our foundation has always been love and respect. We laugh often, we work hard, we sometimes disagree, but we know we are growing something bigger than ourselves.

Seeds for Tomorrow

As a small gift, each guest left with a tiny bag of flax seeds. For us, flax is much more than a fabric. It is our compass. It teaches patience, endurance, and trust in cycles. From the tiniest seed comes a plant strong enough to become linen – a cloth that carries history, resilience, and quiet beauty.

We gave these seeds as a reminder: of growth that begins unseen, of roots that matter as much as blossoms, of the miracle of starting small and becoming whole.

The evening was not just about looking back. It was about being together, about feeling the strength of community, about remembering that Son de Flor is not just a brand but a circle of people who believe in beauty, kindness, and timelessness.
